We have partnered with French restaurant Bistrot Pierre to help older people in the community. The Christmas initiative will see Bistrot Pierre donating dinners to well-deserving local residents.

Diners in the heart of South Wales celebrating with friends and family by eating out this Christmas will be contributing towards a free restaurant meal for an older resident in their community.

Part of the Warm Hubs Initiative

This initiative is part of Action For Elders Balanced Lives Warm Hubs and comes at a time of year when many older people are battling loneliness, alongside the ever-increasing cost of living crisis. Our recent report has found that more than 90% of older people felt that the cost-of-living crisis was their number one concern, so the festive season will be a very challenging time this year.

“We are thrilled to have been asked to be involved in this partnership”, says Action For Elders CEO James Lewis. “Christmas can be a challenging time for older people, especially during the current financial climate, and our help is needed more than ever. It is wonderful that Bistrot Pierre are reaching out to their communities and embracing local residents this Christmas.”
