Putting Your Life in Orbit

Jeff Parker, Action For Elders Director of Technology and Engagement normally ensures the smooth running of all our Social Media platforms but he recently took time out for a different kind of running...

Jeff attempted the Florida Space Coast Half Marathon on Sunday November 25th. The run took place in the shadow of Florida's Kennedy Space Centre and the entire event revolves around a space theme. With bag check opening at 4.15am and the race due to start at 6am, it was a pretty gruelling day.

Did he make it? Find out very soon...

The 13.1 mile race takes place along the beautiful Florida coastline, but Jeff won't just be enjoying the scenery, he will be concentrating on finishing the run in the quickest time possible.

Jeff’s training regime for the marathon was a closely guarded secret but good healthy food, regular exercise and a few Balanced Lives programmes are said to be the key to his excellent level of fitness.

You don't have to be a marathon runner to benefit from and enjoy the Balanced Lives programme, but who knows, by taking control of your own mobility and fitness, you could achieve absolutely anything.
