The Balanced Lives for Carers Project expanded throughout Lincolnshire for 2021
How to take part

Bourne Initiative for carers

The Balanced Lives for carers programme, which opened first in Bourne has been expanded to include the whole of Lincolnshire. The programme is being delivered in conjunction with Carers First and the Lottery Community Fund.

The programme aims to support the unsung heroes of older age, the carers, people who look after their partners, parents, brothers sisters and friends. This is their chance to get the benefit of our Balanced Lives programmes and to make friends and contacts for themselves. It is their time.

The programme is taking place online on Zoom in until Covid restrictions are lifted

Once the in-person events resume, the programme members will meet once a week in Bourne for an hour of exercise and then a social gathering.

The scheme is open to people over 50 who are carers. The important thing is to let us know if you want to take part.

What the participants say…

“We can get fit, have some lively discussions and share our experiences. Why didn’t anybody think of this before?”
