A Statement on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
We are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Her Majesty The Queen. Our hearts go out to the Royal Family during this difficult and emotional time.
The human spirit of The Queen was a true inspiration, not only to those in later life, but to people of all ages. As a charity working for the health and wellbeing of older people we saw Queen Elizabeth II as one of the greatest ever exponents of adding life to later life.
The Queen had a work ethic, energy, humour and compassion that was second to none. Whether you were an ardent Royal Supporter, or just a casual observer, you could not fail to admire someone who continued to serve her country up until the age of 96.
