Why we are asking for your help now
The challenge
The situation is critical
Despair and anxiety about the future are affecting older people badly, with many feeling suicidal about the problems they face over the next few months. Food and energy price rises living are having a negative effect on 95% of the older community. They face social isolation, loneliness, health issues and financial hardship.
Action for Elders solution
Our Balanced Lives Support Hubs provide vital, practical help for the older community. We are providing the essential supplies that vulnerable older people need this winter. This includes blankets, heat pads and supplies of hot soup for those in need.
We also offer social interaction, warming exercise and wellbeing support to help the isolation and anxiety so many feel.
