Co-op Local Community Fund 2020

Action for Elders has been chosen by the Co-op to take part in their local community programme. The Co-op has been looking to support organisations making a difference in their local communities by protecting and improving community spaces, helping people reach their full potential by developing their skills, or promoting health and wellbeing.

At Action for Elders, with our Balanced Lives group in Hereford, we have been particularly successful in building friendships between our older participants and creating strong links with the local community in Hereford. One particular group of friends formed as a result of meeting at Balanced Lives.

Co-op customers can help us raise vital funds for our Balanced Lives programmes for older people. When a member buys selected products or services from the Co-op they earn a five per cent reward for themselves, with a further one per cent for local causes like ours.
