Mental Health MOT
Our New Friday evening Mindfulness Session .
As many of us are suffering from the stress and worries brought about by the Cost of Living Crisis, it seems like the perfect time to heal the mind by talking about our issues.
Our new Balanced Lives Mindfulness Session takes place every Friday evening to prepare you for the weekend. This is a friendly, informal evening of lively chat and relaxation, but with a renewed focus on mindfulness.
Our Balanced Lives teacher, Betty Sutherland, explains the thinking behind the new Balanced Lives Mindfulness Session which take place online via Zoom.
“With current issues and worries that we are facing on a day to day basis, I am using my expertise on Internal Focus to help us learn how to cope with stress, pain and worries. After all we don’t meditate to make ‘something happen’ but to find that special individual place to help us recognise and accept our feelings.”
How to cope with Anxiety, Pain and Illness using Mindfulness
In this session you are not trying to forget your problems, just trying to find a bit of space in your head to deal with those problems. All the stuff that is in your head is affecting your health, you are depleting your immune system with worry. We will teach you how to cope with stress, pain and illness using simple mindfulness meditation. We will also show you how to practice this in just five minutes per day to take you through the week.
In simple terms, this is all about taking time out to take the focus off our current worries and remain in the moment. It’s amazing how giving yourself this small amount of ‘time off’ from your busy life can make you happier, less stressed and more productive.
Boost Your Mental Health
Don’t take our word for it, try out a session with us and you will come out feeling refreshed, both mentally and physically.
The Balanced Lives Mindfulness Session take place every Friday Evening online via Zoom, from 7pm to 7.45pm
