Learning digital skills
In practical terms, we have been able to provide assistance to members of our Balanced Lives groups to help them develop digital skills. We have also been able to offer our members tablet or laptop loans. It is important to make sure older people and those that care for them stay connected. The more people can communicate with their loved ones, the better for their mental and physical health.
Digital support gives our members access to our Balanced Lives Live exercise programmes to ensure they stay fit and well. The online access will also enable them to view our wide range of video content via the Action For Elders YouTube channel.
During lockdown, we have been able to extend our live online Balanced Lives exercise and fitness sessions. We have also been able to add live Q&A wellbeing sessions which provide help and support for those suffering from anxiety and loneliness during Covid-19.
