The Return of Live Sessions in Wales

Getting Back Out There and Balanced Lives.

After the wonderful success of our walks and live events in the Swansea area last year, we are very pleased to announce the return of our live Balanced Lives exercise and wellbeing sessions to the Welsh community.

Thanks to the Welsh Government’s Social Care Winter Pressures fund we are now able to restart our live Balanced Lives social and exercise programmes. These now take place on Mondays and Fridays in Blackpill and Penllergaer. We will also be adding more sessions in South and Mid-Wales during the coming weeks.

The Social Connection

Our Social Walks and Tea & Chat sessions were hugely successful during the latter part of last year and these will be continuing from in  January, subject to current COVID restrictions. These sessions formed part of our Getting Back Out There campaign, which was designed to help people in the older community overcome anxiety and stress. While it was clear that our events last year had helped to boost confidence, there was a strong public demand for the return of our Balanced Lives exercise programmes, which now include an enhanced social element.

Balanced Lives

At our Balanced Lives programmes, you can increase your fitness levels, talk about any issues you have, both physically and mentally, while enjoying the company of others. All of this takes place in a safe and friendly environment with our highly-qualified Balanced Lives teacher, Mike Hart.

Session Timetables

Our Balanced Lives Sessions take place as follows:

Mondays: Vivian Hall, 82 Mumbles Road, Blackpill, Swansea. SA3 5AS. 1pm to 3pm.

Fridays: Llewelyn Hall, Swansea Road, Penllergaer, Swansea. SA4 9AQ. 11am to 1pm.

To sign up for our sessions, please email us at info@actionforelders.org.uk or phone us on 030 330 30132
