To deliver our Balanced Lives programmes to help people have a happier and healthier later life we need to raise funds.

You could help us in a variety of ways... How you do it would be entirely up to you: from home, at your local club or in the office. Here are just a few ideas our volunteer fundraisers have previously used:

Tea parties and picnics

Concerts and open gardens

Swap shop fashion evenings

Getting local clubs to support us.

You can give as much or as little time as you want to this role.

How you could benefit:

Gain direct hands-on experience of raising money to help the health and well being of older people.

Know that your efforts WILL make a real difference.

Gives you a direct experience of community fundraising.

What you will gain by becoming a volunteer for us?

Training – learning new skills, and gaining up-to-date knowledge of the issues and challenges affecting older people.

Experience – meeting new people in different situations, building new friendships with other volunteers.

Fulfilment – knowing that the information you provide will make a real difference to those who receive it, and raising the awareness throughout society as a whole.

Expenses – all expenses incurred as a result of your volunteering will be reimbursed, according to our Expenses policy.

Support - Regular support will be given by your Volunteer Co-ordinator, especially in the early stages of your role as you settle in. You will also receive informal support from other volunteers as you work together and attend each other's sessions.
