Leading the Way in the Community during the Cost of Living Crisis

As part of Balanced Lives Warm Hubs we present a regular ‘Winter Warmer’ event to keep you warm and healthy over the winter months. In partnership with Swansea City Council, we have an afternoon of soup and hot beverages, practical help, plus a classic film every week.

We are helping the older community stay warm and beat the cost of living crisis with a number of special events this winter, including this weekly event. We need your help to reach more people in the community, so please help us by donating to our Winter Crisis Appeal.

We began with the 1964 British epic war film Zulu, starring Michael Caine and Stanley Baker. Next Monday we have the 1956 romantic musical comedy High Society, starring Frank Sinatra, Grace Kelly and Bing Crosby.

Our Winter Warmer event is designed to inform, entertain and help you to tackle the cost of living crisis.

Classic Films every week

Join us for an afternoon away from the cold with classic film entertainment every Monday,

A warm and friendly environment

We will be offering soup, hot beverages, plus a chance to meet and chat with others in a friendly, warm environment.

“I am glad to go somewhere to keep warm, with some company,” said one participant.

“It made my week,” said another.

Cost Of Living and Digital Support

We will be offering cost of living advice to help you navigate the difficult months ahead. There will be digital support from our technical expert Adrian Scott, who will help you with any mobile phone, laptop/tablet issues or shopping and banking apps.

This weekly event is being held in partnership with Swansea City Council and the National Waterfront Museum. This is a pilot event taking place during the winter months.
